ABOUT US
EVOLVE is an Organization owned and operated in Colorado, centered around ultimate frisbee training and aimed at assisting young athletes with both the physical and mental skills involved with improving their game. We have learned so much from so many great coaches and peers while playing this sport and we are passionate about passing that knowledge on to the next generation! We have gained invaluable life skills such as dedication, problem solving, sportsmanship, and collaboration through our development in ultimate. Along with a focus on the physical skills, it is our hope to also highlight these larger life teachings in the younger generations. We are dedicated to providing holistic training and playing a part in supporting the community of ultimate's next generation. Our mission is to help individuals and teams alike evolve their game and achieve their ultimate potential on and off the field.
TRAINING PROGRAM ELEMEMTS
SPEED & QUICKNESS - Top speed as well as change of direction are both very useful on offense as well as defense. Ladders, various cutting patterns and acceleration drills can all help improve these parts of you game.
THROWING - Feeling comfortable and confident with the disc can assist immensely when it comes to helping your team out on offense. Working on body mechanics and release angles can help as well as knowing what to look for as a thrower.
CUTTING - When being positioned downfield your timing and field IQ are key elements in terms of getting open as well as working well together with your teammates. Structured drills can help with visualization and execution in this area.
DEFENSE - Being able to effectively cover an opposing player and work collaboratively with your teammates when the other team has the disc is crucial in the sport of ultimate. There's many ways to go about this and lots of situational drills to help with positioning as well as problem solving that comes with playing good defense.

CONDITIONING - As athletes, a big part of playing sports is being able to prepare your body and mind for the physical exertion that ultimate demands. This can be done in a variety of ways and present opportunities to really push yourself.
SPIRIT OF THE GAME - A core principle emphasizing sportsmanship in ultimate. Bringing mutual respect, integrity and a joy for the game is something we want to emphasize in all aspects of our training sessions and are happy to have it be a specific focus as well.

ALEX TATUM | COACH
Background:
As someone who's always loved sports and being outside, I was stoked when I found ultimate my freshman year at the University of Colorado Boulder. Moving to Colorado for college after growing up in Hawaii was quite the change of scenery, but finding community in the ultimate scene made the transition so much easier and I've been lucky enough to gain so many life long friends because of it. I think the sport of ultimate provides so many avenues for players to push themselves and grow on and off the field. When playing I have a passion for seeing teammates become the best version of themselves and I hope to bring that same mindset when my coaching hat is on.
Coaching Experience:
College, high school and middle school (practices & clinics)
Playing Experience:
Mamabird, Lotus, Bravo & Colorado Summit (Apex)
ISAAC CHESTLER | COACH
Background:
When I found ultimate in my sophomore year of high school, I knew I had found something that would be special and deeply important to me for years to come. Growing up in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, I was very lucky to have access to an established and burgeoning ultimate community. By the time I moved to Colorado for college, I had already run several clinics and camps for younger players in my area; as I found it just as rewarding to help others progress as it was to stack my own skills. Although my playing days are mostly behind me, I consider it a privilege to pass down knowledge and be a multi-faceted resource for the next generation of players.
